Solar Water Pumping

Free, reliable water pumping powered by the sun

Service Overview

Solar Pumping

Solar-powered water pumping systems for homes, farms and institutions — no fuel, no grid power, no running bills.

Solar water pumping uses photovoltaic panels to power submersible or surface pumps, delivering water from boreholes, wells, tanks and rivers without grid electricity or fuel costs.

We design the complete system for your site — panel capacity, pump type, controller, pipework and storage — and install it so it runs reliably for years with minimal maintenance.

Key Benefits

  • No fuel or electricity bills — water is pumped free during daylight
  • Ideal for farms and remote sites without reliable grid power
  • Low maintenance with a lifespan of 20+ years for solar panels
  • Scalable storage and irrigation options
  • Reduces reliance on UMEME and diesel generators

Our Process

  1. 1

    Assessment

We calculate your daily water demand, pumping head and distance to design the right system.

  2. 2

    System Design

Panels, pump, controller, pipework and storage are sized to match your needs.

  3. 3

    Installation

Our engineers install the panels, mounting, pump and control system.

  4. 4

    Commissioning

The system is tested under real sun and handed over with operation guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a solar pump work on cloudy days?

Solar pumps produce less on cloudy days, but systems are designed with appropriate storage and headroom so you still get water. Oversizing guidance is part of our design.

Can solar pumping run existing boreholes?

Yes. Solar pumps can be installed in existing boreholes and wells, either replacing an electric pump or as a new installation.

What size solar pump do I need?

It depends on your borehole yield, pumping depth, daily demand and distance to storage. We size this correctly during the assessment.
